To celebrate 25 years of eBay in Australia, I was commissioned by Special Group to direct a series of one-on-one discussions between famous and accomplished collectors. Each pairing explored the culture and meaning of collecting, supported in part by the world's favourite online marketplace.
The pairings included drag superstar Courtney Act and her impressive collection of comics; Actor, author and activist Chloé Hayden whose passion for collecting knows no bounds; Pre-loved fashion enthusiast, Jonathan Chai and devoted sneakerhead, Paolo Quartarone.
The show format featured a discussion stage designed to reflect the passion for collecting and the eclectic tastes of our assembled cast. A large backlit projection screen played collection films, offering an intriguing window into the collectors' worlds.
